Introduction: the way I am

First of all, My name is Chompunoot Chingnawan, or you may call me ‘Fah’ which is the same meaning as blue sky. I left my hometown in Thailand to study MA Interior and Spatial design at Chelsea College of art and design in London, UK.

I graduated BA Architecture: Interior Architecture in Bangkok, but I worked as Interior designer for about 2 years in Singapore and also in Thailand. During the working life, I always made a question to myself -- ‘Is this the life that I want to be?’

So, I got the answer of that question and it brought me here. About my inspiration, I found that I am interested in abandoned thing and the way to re-use and renovate it since I was doing my BA dissertation--The renovation of THE NARAI hotel.

Some perspectives from The renovation of THE NARAI hotel

To abandon something, there isn’t only the physical appearance that we left behind, but it also affects the mental phenomenon and our memory in negative side. Then, to avoid that happening, I prefer to re-use or conserve it with any possibilities depend on its context.

Last but not least, I hope that, after or during this course, I can find the answer ‘yes! I am!’ of that same question.
